About HDHR
I believe HR should support people while protecting the business — and that it is possible to do both.
I work in a grounded, commercially aware way, helping organisations do the right thing, in the right way, at the right time — bringing calm, measured judgement to people matters without overcomplicating them.

I have extensive experience across highly operational environments, including transport and engineering SMEs. I understand the realities of running people-heavy, highly operational businesses — balancing compliance, performance, and day-to-day pressures. The support I provide is therefore practical, straightforward and works in the real world.

My career has been spent in standalone HR roles, often as the only HR presence in the business, working closely with owners and senior leaders. In my most recent role within a precision engineering SME, I supported the business through a period of significant growth, with headcount increasing by over 80% across three years.
Through HDHR, I work with small and medium-sized businesses across a range of sectors, providing ongoing HR guidance, employee relations expertise and practical support for managers. I act as a trusted partner, offering senior-level HR input without the cost of an in-house function.
